Have any of you read this book? I just finished it; I was supposed to read it in High School but I didn't (I copied the book report from Sarah in exchange for her french homework, haha, good old times) well I just read the book and I have to say... that's some tough sh*t right there. I loved it. Any opinions?

I've read it, yeah. It was quite impressive and pretty scary. Well written.
Considering the fact that Huxley wrote this book in 1932, it's pretty sad how predictable mankind is.

I haven't read it, but everyone tells me to. Apparently it really is a good book. Can you give me a short plot overview?

Oh yeah I loved that book. The introduction confused me completely but the rest made sense. Sounds like our future.

It's basically Aldous Huxley's utopic vision of our world, where everything's controlled and regulated by some form of government, without any personal freedom. It's a lot like that movie with I believe it was Christian Bale where he plays that cop in a world where everybody takes a sort of drug to make them compliant to whatever the government procures. It's worth a read, you'll like it.

Dude yeah, that book is really good.

The movie with Christian Bale that Pat mentioned is called Equilibrium by the way.

Right, Equilibrium. I couldn't remember the name. Christian Bale is such a hottie. Yeah and the movie was pretty good too.
